MFS CASH Oregon featured in The Bee

Big thanks to The Bee for this fantastic article on our free volunter-run tax prep service, MFS CASH Oregon!

“Income tax season can cause worry, anxiety, and confusion. Correctly paying taxes can be difficult, especially for people who are not able to pay a tax preparer to do the work, and who may not have sufficient knowledge to fill out their own forms – either on paper. or online.

Not to worry. If you are financially challenged by tax season, there’s free expert help available. In addition to the free AARP sessions offered by volunteer tax preparers in some Multnomah County Branch Libraries and other community locations, there is a second program called “MFS CASH Oregon”, an Economic Empowerment Program of “Metropolitan Family Service” (MFS).”
