Employee Benefits

MFS provides eligible employees who work at least 30 hours a week with a comprehensive benefit package that includes options for medical and dental coverage. Eligible employees are scheduled to work at least 30 hours per week in a regular position. Eligibility for the benefits package is the first day of the month following 30 days of employment. Employees who work 20-29 hours per week in a regular position also receive benefits including paid time off and holiday pay, but are not eligible for medical/dental coverage.

Benefits for those employed 30 or more hours/week:

  • Medical Insurance with choice of three plans
  • Dental Insurance
  • Prescription Drug coverage included with all medical plans
  • Vision coverage including benefits for glasses or contact lenses included with the medical plan
  • Alternative care benefits including acupuncture, chiropractic, massage therapy and naturopathic services are available with all medical plan options

The following benefits are available to all regular employees who work at least 20 hours/week. Employees whose positions are classified as temporary or interim are not eligible for benefits.

  • Flexible Spending Account for health plan premiums, medical expense account, and dependent care expense account 401(k) plan available after one year of employment
  • Paid Time Off (PTO) plan available for vacation, personal days, sick leave, etc.
  • 9 paid holidays per year
  • Life Insurance equaling two times annual salary (after 6 months of employment)
  • Short term disability plan provides benefits to disabled employees after 7 days of disability up to 90 days (after 6 months of employment with no cost to employee)
  • Long term disability plan provides benefits to disabled employees after 90 days of disability (after 6 months of employment with no cost to employee)
  • Accidental Death and Dismemberment plan (after 6 months of employment)
  • Voluntary group life insurance for employees, spouses, and children
