A Gathering of Good is one of the most inspiring events in town. Our annual fall fundraiser brings together people who care about our community, recognize the significance of our work and want to make a tangible difference.

You’ll hear life transforming stories of people who have benefited personally from MFS programs, and celebrate with the folks who make it happen – you! It’s an amazing evening filled with great food and wine, fantastic company and fundraising that makes it possible for us to help 30,000 kids, families and older adults succeed and thrive each year.

Classic Wines Auction

The Classic Wines Auction is the hottest wine event in town. In fact, it’s evolved into one of the top ten charity wine auctions in the United States. Not surprising, since we live in one of the most enthusiastic and generous food and wine communities around. This signature event began in 1982 as a fundraiser to benefit Metropolitan Family Service. In 2004, a separate nonprofit was formed to grow and expand the auction, which now supports MFS and four other nonprofits serving individuals and families in greater Portland & SW Washington. Over the past 30 years, millions of dollars have been donated by generous, community-minded people. Real causes. Exceptional food and wine. Good times!

agog discussion series
Discussion Around a TableThe agog discussion series dives deep into the social issues MFS is working to solve. Engagement and collaboration rule here. Over a great meal alongside local experts, MFS CEO Judy Strand moderates cross-sector, provocative, action-igniting conversations that invite guests to get to the heart of the matter, share valuable perspectives, and discover how the nonprofit sector plays an absolutely pivotal role in driving social change.
