Social Purpose Works, MFS’s new program pairing pro-bono professionals with non-profits, was recently featured on MetroEast Community Hotline! SPW is unique in its focus on using professionally skilled volunteers to tackle capacity building projects.
Last Thursday, MFS Hunger Relief programs held a Vietnamese cooking class at West Powellhurst, led by MFS Hunger Relief AmeriCorps member Thu Le, and two Vietnamese community members. They taught parents, students and volunteers how to make Vietnamese salad rolls and peanut sauce, sticky coconut rice, and a Vietnamese chicken and vegetable soup. 🥥🍲🍴
