Dinner at Hawks View Cellars
Sunday, July 10, 2016
Artfully prepared food, stellar wine, a gorgeous view, and excellent company—what more could you ask for? Don’t miss your opportunity for a place at this amazing dinner at Hawks View Cellars, prepared by Benjamin Bettinger, Executive Chef of Laurelhurst Market.
Since its inception in 1991, Hawks View Cellars sustainably farms and cares for over 50 acres of Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris grapes in the Chehalem Mountains, just outside of Portland, Oregon. From their beautifully landscaped patio and lawn, a ring of five Cascade peaks forms a dramatic backdrop to the sweeping view of Oregon’s wine country. Hawks View crafts over eight single vineyard varietal wines infused with the terroir driven style of Burgundy. Owned and tended by the Kemp family, Hawks View Cellars embodies the deeply personal experience of Northwest winemaking.
Vermont native Benjamin Bettinger, Executive Chef at Laurelhurst Market, moved to Portland in 2001 to attend Le Cordon Bleu’s Western Culinary institute. His dedication and leadership in school resulted in a coveted internship with Chef Vitaly Paley at Paley’s Place, where he advanced to sous chef, then chef de cuisine. He and Paley remained in close contact, so much so that the two collaborated with the opening of Paley’s Imperial Restaurant in September of 2012, where Ben served as Executive Chef until 2014.
Enjoy your evening to the fullest, because we’ll take care of the travel between Portland and Sherwood. Co-founder AJ Kemp will select a special signed bottle for each couple to take home from the dinner.
Only 11 spots remain at $1500/couple. This exclusive dinner event is offered through the Classic Wines Auction. Funds support Metropolitan Family Service.
